This collaborative design was created around the theme of new beginnings and the good fortune that accompanies the journey ahead. During the Joseon Dynasty, the white crow known as Baego, written as 白烏, was regarded as an auspicious creature that appeared when sincerity and devotion reached the heavens. Rather than representing luck that arrives by chance, it was seen as a blessing given in response to a sincere heart. At the same time, a single white crow is the one exception that overturns the belief that all crows are black. It lives on despite its fragility, becoming a symbol of stepping beyond familiar fears and the boundaries we create for ourselves. A norigae, a traditional Korean ornament symbolising good fortune and blessings, is woven into its pure white wings. Through this piece, we hope that good fortune will accompany the new journeys of those who have begun to walk their own path. May you step beyond the boundaries of the world as you have always known it, and welcome a new beginning in your own light.
